This is the week for my team and I to work smarter, not harder. To never touch things twice.
I was reflecting over the weekend on the idea that most people are never actually taught how to work. We can be as committed as we want to our jobs and want to do really well however this doesn’t always make us work effectively.
With a tidal wave of work coming down the pipeline towards my team and I and pressing timelines to achieve what is required, we need to ensure we are taking stock of not only where our focus is and what needs to be prioritised but most importantly, how we are operating.
Are we working effectively? Are we being smart? It is sometimes important to take a step back in order to move forward.
This week I will be taking a step back in how I lead the team in order to ensure we are working smart. Is there a more effective way for us to operate?
